Today I successfully resisted the evil temptress that is The Cheese Truck – a truck in New Haven that serves grilled cheese. It happens to be parked just a block or so from my office and is offering a yummy feta with summer squash, eggplant and zucchini grilled cheese. Sounds healthy, right? Add butter and thick slices of sourdough bread (drool) and you’ve got yourself something that isn’t exactly WW friendly.
I opted for my mixed baby greens salad with shredded carrots, cherry tomatoes, turkey breast, goat cheese, fat-free croutons and a balsamic vinaigrette (approx. 9 pts+). Sure, it doesn’t sound as delicious as a warm, gooey grilled cheese from a truck, but at least I won’t be a in a food coma by 3 pm.
Here’s to life’s little victories! Cheers!
